Easter & Holy Week at LM1
Holy week is March 29 through April 5, providing the opportunity to journey with Christ from his triumphal entry to Jerusalem, through his last supper with the disciples, to his moment on the cross culminating in Resurrection. You’re invited to these times of remembrance and ultimately, the victorious celebration of life and love that conquers death!
Palm Sunday: Celebrate our children’s parade of palms, commemorating Jesus triumphal entry into Jerusalem with shouts of "Hosanna", in worship at 9:30am, or livestreamed and recorded on Facebook and YouTube. We will also celebrate a baptism!
Maundy Thursday: Remember and contemplate Jesus’ final supper with his Disciples at our 6pm worship service remembering that last supper, sharing in Holy Communion and committing to Jesus' commandment ("maundy" means "command") to "love your neighbor".
Holy Saturday: Decorate our Easter Cross with purchased flowers or blooms from your own garden in front of the church from 10am-12pm. Help is also appreciated preparing for the next day’s Easter Egg Hunt and participating in a campus "tidy-up". This year we will have a special community craft you can participate in as well.
Easter Sunday: Worship in person or online at 9:30am as we process our flower-covered cross into the sanctuary and celebrate with special music. Stay after for an Easter egg hunt and community celebration with live music. Since you'll be in your Easter finest, why not have a family’s photo taken at the Easter Party for our updated Church Directory or just emailed to your home? We’ll have a photographer there to capture all your smiling faces.
